Trimming the goats hooves today and I thought I’d share the process! As I said, this is my least favorite chore because it is killer on my already-sensitive back but… it is very necessary to keep away lameness, hoof rot, arthritis, etc.

Conversely, this is Gingers favorite chore because she gets some extra snackies with her morning feed 😉 Are we enjoying these “daily chore” videos? Let me know 👇🏼

They sustained minor damage during Hurricane Helene but we got them all fertilized, pruned, and taken care of 🤗 Can’t wait to use these bananas in our banana bread recipe! 😍🍌#bananatree #orchard #homegrown #homesteading #hobbyfarm #selfsufficiency #treecare

Candling allows us to monitor the development of our chicks and to remove any non-fertile eggs or deceased chicks so that they don’t cause problems for the rest of the clutch down the line. I’m happy to report that all 11 eggs in this clutch are developing well!
